No problem. I have everything set up as "writing prompts" in my class because that's the easiest way for students to give me a link to a google form or doc. For quizzes, I use this prompt:
The link takes students to this:
I can then grade it, release their score to them, and then transfer the grade to Edgenuity. It's a few extra steps, but I like being in charge of my own quizzes and tests.
For essays and other writing assignments, I use this prompt:
The link takes students to a Google doc where they complete the assignment. They then copy and paste the link (plus extra words to fulfill the silly Edgenuity word count minimum) into the text box. It ends up looking like this:
Then I can just click the link and access their google docs (as long as the students have set it up correctly... that's a skill in itself). I really like google docs because I can create my own rubrics, add links to supplemental videos, comment directly on student work, etc.
I wish we could do all of this in Edgenuity, but I've never had high hopes for Edgenuity to come up with anything that's actually useful or innovative. Sorry, Mary Lou... full disclosure.
I'm happy to share my prompts, assignments, whatever. It takes a village.

Hi - can you give some details on how you do the google doc quizzes and tests?
Do you add it as "project" and categorize it as Quiz or Test?
I love this idea.

My school district (Edmonds) uses Hapara which allows teachers to create focused sessions. It only works if a student is on our district network and doesn't prevent students from just looking up answers on their phones, however, so it's not a silver bullet. We only use it when students come into our campus resource center to take midterms and finals.
Our most effective solution so far to curb the rampant cheating has been to remove Edgenuity quizzes and tests from our classes and replace them with Google quizzes. This way, we can create our own questions and modify them as necessary.

Can someone provide information or steps on how to lock down student screens so a student can't jump out of edgenuity and onto another internet tab and attempt to search for an answer for a quiz, test or exam
